My 748 Gal A.G.E. Aquaillumination SOL lit Texas Dream Tank Build!

She likes to go to sleep with the TV on, so white noise/water should be no problem.

It was her choice anyway, I had it ready for the study. With the new grandchild she took the study & told me to use the bedroom.
Then you are doubly-blessed, my friend.

AJT,

Nice.

People marvel at my 125 long in my living/family room!
Have you calculated the Gallons in that thing. I didn't do the math, just ballpark guessing at 450?

What part of Houston you in? I last resided in Southdown, in Pearland TX. I know TX. and Houston well.

Will have to show your move-in pictures to my wife - I'm trying to convince her it won't cost too much to cut a 3 foot square hole in an 8" thick basement wall (poured concrete with rebar) so I can get a large tank in there.

300 Gallons in your bedroom? Wow.

Is in front of the windows the only place it really works? Seems a shame to lose the natural light in your bedroom.

First it's 748 gallon look in the title
If its ok with him and his wife....

To the AJT
Ecotech can be loud and annoying at 80-100% almost unbearable.
I would go with TUNZE 6305 it's almost dead silent

I have 4 Tunzes in my 200. I am just trying to keep ALL motors out of the water. I am in Texas & tring not to have the chiller run much.

I have 2 40's & 2 60's. we'll see when I get water in it.

You should see the schedule 80 plumbing. It's a work of art. Pics coming soon!

Nice tank. I wish I could have gone 10' but I only had enough room for an 8' tank. Have fun with your project.

I agree I think 2 mp4's and 2 mp60's will be plenty. Also with that much water running you won't hear the mp60's

Venting for humidity-

The canopy & stand are supposed to be completed this weekend. I am going to vent
(2) 4" holes for exit from the canopy, thru dryer vent tube, thru window with elec fans. 2 Input holes with blue filter floss for air filter.

It has been open on top & had water for 3 weeks now & I do not notice any more humidity than normal. Remember I am in Houston. 80-90% humidity is the norm.
