My humble SPS journey - Shallow 80g

Josh,
Do you know how many pounds of rock you used in you current scape? (dry weight.)

I'm not really sure to be honest with you, if I had to guess I'd say around 50 lbs maybe? That might be off quite a bit, I don't know.

I have a MarinePure Ceramic Block (8x8x4) in my sump that does all of the heavy lifting. I might phase it out by cutting chunks off and replace it with siporax in the future.

It's shaping up to be a beautiful system... What is the distance between your light fixture and highest point of your live rock? Thanks

I'm going through a very similar build and it seems we have the same taste in fish! I've planned on a white tail bristle tooth and a genicanthus for this tang, and a Potters pair would be awesome as well.

How do you like the one large screen top? I've been debating on whether I want one large one or split the top in half and do two smaller screens.

13"

Thanks. :)

I'm probably going to redo my screen top, I would do two smaller screens. I guess I put the net in too tightly and it caused a slight bow in the center, I can't imagine this being an issue if I had made it similar to how you're thinking of making it.

Thank you.

This past weekend cyano took over my tank and my bryopsis is getting a bit out of control, going to start kent tech m soon to try and combat the bryopsis and let the cyano run its course. Anyways, all of the acros that have been doing well are looking really great right now so I'm not too worried with everything. Then there're the ones that are completely under performing, I'll do a photo update of those tomorrow. It's hard to put time into photos on them since they are ticking me off.

Getting ready to place these four frags from Adam, so last picture update before they leave the frag rack.

Sorry there isn't much to update you guys, not too much change has occurred except these frags from Adam just keep getting better and better and growth is truckin' along.

Pink lemonade is looking real good. Mine has more green in it than yours. I wish I could get more yellow like you have. Prob more light.

I was looking around through your thread and couldn't find the answer but what are you currently dosing?

I'm dosing Prodibio Biodigest and Bioptim, 1 vial of Biodigest every 15 days, and 2 vials of Bioptim every 15 days.

For Ca/Kh/Mg I'm currently using BRS 2 part, and my daily consumption is about 10ml. Not much consumption yet, I might switch to balling as things progress and I get my doser hooked up.

Hopefully that answers your question? :)

Needs bump! Needs bump!!

New year mate, that means new pics ;)

I was actually working on it last night but my wrasses kept digging in the sand. :headwalls: I'll continue to try to get photos this weekend and hopefully update Monday or so. My tank really isn't doing that great, dinos have taken over and it's just really an ugly mess.

Pink lemonade frag looks great

Thank you. :)
