New AquaController 3/3 Pro Firmware

Ever since I upgraded to the latest firmware, I can no longer edit and save the program via web browser, anyone have the same problem?

I haven't had that problem. I can edit and save both with the web browser and with the iPhone. Try a different browser. I use Google Chrome.

I do however have problems keeping a log for any longer than a few days. I have to go back and re-read the thread because I think someone was having a similar issue and found a solution.

It's either that or the unit keeps resetting itself....

Did you update the web pages after the firmware?

Yep, I had the same issue. After sending some debugging info to Curt he concluded that it was a memory shortage issue. He had me shut off the AquaServer in setup->net setup and reboot the controller. Fixed it for me.

Do you have in the 3Gs application the red light for o OFF status. I am geting ONLY the green light for ON and empty for OFF (I think) Yours is o.k?

I do not have red lights only green when on and no light when off

I am still having issue with the iphone app. While at home, I can enter the local IP and get access. It display all the units properly, save, it constantly tells me the controller is experiencing a "problem", and that the alarm is on, despite the fact that all the water parameters are within the acceptable ranges, and the alarm does not appear to be on. The only way I have found to reset this is to sync the controller time and date with my iphone, which then voids all the datalog, so no graphs.

However, when off of the local site (and entering my external IP), the iphone app will connect, but will still show blank everything. No time, no channels, no programs.

Any ideas? In chimp (laymen) terms please, I understand computers less than I do women.

Without reading through 18 pages of posts...is this out of beta testing yet?

If so, can a link be posted?

I don't think it is... but the latest Beta is working quite well. Some minor bugs but overall a great improvement. If you have an iPhone it is a must!

Nope... Curt said that the latest beta build (6B09_3.4) *may* become the final v3.4 release, but at this point it's still a late beta.

Does ANYONE have (in 3GS I phone APP) the red light, which indicates that a timer is OFF??

Is there a way to access the AC3P as if you were an outside user (that is with a different IP address), but still be doing this from within the local network? I had to reset my modem, and though I've reconfigured it for port forwarding etc. as I thought it was before, I am unable to connect to the controller from the outside. I suppose I could call a friend and ask if they can connect each time I fiddle with a modem setting, but was wondering if I could have a sort of "virtual external" connection. Thanks.

Some routers permit that, some don't. It's called NAT redirection, or something similar if it is a configurable option. What kind of router?

The 100% way is to have someone try from outside the (home) network. Even though you use the public name many routers are smart enough to look at the destination address and understand that it is internal and short-circuit the connection (basically routing happens within the router and never hits the public network).

Thanks for the quick responses. I have a Westell 327W (ISP is Verizon DSL). I've read that this old modem is a dog (though I haven't had any issues with it), so maybe it isn't smart enough to be tricked. I see I can set a "Static NAT" under the Services menu, not sure if that is heading in the right direction though.

Also, is the latest BETA firmware version reported as
3.40_4E09
when you open the Net Setup page? Thanks again.

Does anyone have any ideas on this? I can still access my AC3 fine by typing the IP into the browser, but just not through the app.

Anyone else getting occasional spontaneous reboots on the controller and disconnects when using the web page and iPhone applications? I have the latest 3.4 beta installed. Also, I can't get the Flash graphs to work. Updated the web pages several times but they just display empty blackness.

I haven't seen any red lights since the app upgrade. Everything works fine....

You might do better at getting answers by posting this in a new message. The iPhone app is not a Neptune product but rather one of the many extras created by other members of the forum. Having a new thread would give more visibility and hopefully the correct person(s) will see it and be able to point you in the right direction.
