Sorry, I don't remember.

How many blue stars did u have to go thru to have a keeper??

Probably a dozen blue stars, regular leopards, and potters. Then one day Ali called me and said I got six in that I think are good. I bought the best looking two and he was right. I've had them for a couple of months now.

Skip the soap fish you have too many fish that can die

Feminus ... Sigh I can only wish
Btw I think kinlayan from south Africa
Feminus lasted 15 years ...
Just saying ... Lol
Either way you tank looks incredible

Hey everyone,

I broke out the camera today and took a few pics updates:

My beast of a Red Dragon. It's the size of a large grapefruit. That's the SSC in the background. That sucker is ginormous too. It's hard to see at this perspective. I'll try to take a top down shot later.

It's cousin, the Pink Dragontails:

A group shot. This is the original Mr. Pacman. I actually got it the same time as the Dragontails and Azul Cielo, but I had a hard time finding a spot it liked. It lightened up to the point of almost being bleached at one point, but then I discovered it really hated high light and flow. I forgot the coral name next to it but I got it from Copps. It's finally grown out to the point where I can appreciate it's unite branch structure and shape.

Here's a Highleghter I'm pretty excited about. Please excuse the bubble algae. That and aptaisia are the bain of my tank! I forgot where I bought it and what it's called, but as you can see all the tips are highlighted. The picture is a little over exposed too as the body is a little darker. It'll look nice as a larger colony. I can't wait!

Here's another newer favorite too. I got it a few months back. As you can see, it's encrusted nicely and the branches are growing out. I call it the RR Pacman because that's where I got it. It's like the pacman but thicker branches:

Lastly, a nice group shot the the original Purple Monster in the center:

Left front is the Red Dragon, Left back is the SSC, Center back is the Hawkins Echinata, Behind that is the Cali Tort, to the right of that is the Pink Lemonade encrusting to the back of the tank, the right center is my ginormous Red Planet (the largest colony in my tank), front right is a my sky blue tabling acro.

I hope you enjoyed the update. I'll try to take more pics tomorrow.

Wayne,

what stop are u shooting at? Your shots are very shallow. The dept to field blurs everything so if u are shooting at an 2.8 everything around your focus point will be soft or blurry. Try to shoot at higher stop like 8-16and increase ur ISO. I'm comfortable at 2000-2500. This way more of the image or focal point will be sharp. Also like u stated that u may be at the end or start of your lens. For macro type if shooting I do not recommend being a either end, So if ur on a 2.8 at 100 mm u will get distortion. Just set up at 100 and move up a tad so ur not at the end. U can shoot with priority mode and test out shots at a 2.8 and at 16 and I promise u will like the results.

Anyways amazing stuff, u got some skills and must sweat at a salinity of 1.026, lol.

Wayne tank is looking awesome, was looking at another thread how is your Pee Pee doing, and I am talking coral you should rename:)
