I noticed in your second post, first pic, that the support walls under what I think are your floor joist's have a pine bottom plate instead of pressure treated wood which may rot out in the future especially since there is water already getting to it, this also can cause a mold to grow on the wood which can be bad for you and your family's health, I would recommend using pressure treated wood at the bottom plate everywhere especially in wet areas.. JMO!..
wow... looks like a fun project. Do you have any pland for dealing with maintence on a tank that deep. My tank can be a pain at only 30"
Subscribed, looks promising. Do you have pics of your current tank? How thick is the glass? Are you going to use some kind of controller? Will it be a DSB, or SSB? Are you going to use solar panels, to cut down energy costs? Are you planning to use a backup generator? Can't wait for more pics.
