Frank -- amazing project. I think the hours would melt away relaxing in front of that tank. I really love how it is fully integrated into your living space, which is nothing short of amazing too!

Pretty much LOL

Thank you for your comments

Beautiful tank, simply gorgeous, well done!

Looking at the pic of the MRC skimmer (I have one also) do you always keep the water level as it appears in the picture or do you raise it?

Scott

Dear friend and member of the 1000 gallon club Ching,

You have no idea how much I envy you for being where you are and to have so much access to live stock that here is sometimes so hard to get.

I hope some day you can come here to Canada and we can have like a meeting where we can talk to others about our experiences in these ventures...

I'm pretty sure Nine ball will join no problem.

By the way this is no my house the House belongs to a good friend of mine who prefers anonymity the only credit I'll take is that he has let me play all along to build this for him and his family.

Cheers and hope to meet some day here or in Thailand.

My respect and best regards for you and yours.

Frank A.

Hi Frank,

Thank you for your reply.
Yes, I hope we can meet either in BKK or Canada someday.

All the best,

Thank you

What you see is the MRC just after cleaning from there in a week or so It will get covered with phosphates and mud all the way to the top I have a hose for drainage direct to the sewer but still I clean once a week to keep those phosphates away...

I've been closely monitoring and so far Phosphates and Nitrates are undetectable.

The Refugium is 150 Gal and has 6 or 7 inches of oolite aragonite which in my opinion reduces more Nitrates than any other method without harming anything.

Plus my signature Mangrove plantation works marvels it will be put it to the test when the shipment of coral arrives in a couple of moths

Thanks Frank. At what level in the skimmer column do you find it most effective?

The dimensions on this tank are unbelievable! Are you going to have to put on a snorkel and mask to get to the bottom? :)

Hi Scott,

After cleaning I try to leave it as you saw in the pic minor adjustments are necessary

<a href="http://s1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee463/Symphy68/The%20Works%203/?action=view&current=DSCN2423.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee463/Symphy68/The%20Works%203/DSCN2423.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Slowly it will raise coating everything and sending gunk to the sewer

Placing some new corals is no easy task for sure haha

Hey Frank,

It's been a while since my last post and man this is a sweet room with the huge tank ...

Don't mind me asking why this owner isn't into acroporas (LPS would be asking ofr trouble judging from all the Tangs that's in there right now!) Man ... if this was mine (dream on sucker ... :lmao:) it would have to be the Ultimate SPS system!!!

Do you have any pictures of the algae scrubber system or was it "scrapped"?

BTW ... Richard "introduced" me to the AquaVitro salt not too long ago!!

Thx,
Paul

Ok some ideas

Ok some ideas

pm sent on sump

I work on a simple principle "the more water you have the easier things gonna be...

<a href="http://s1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee463/Symphy68/The%20Works%203/?action=view&current=DSCN2415.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee463/Symphy68/The%20Works%203/DSCN2415.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

I personally like this tubs even though I think the people from Rubber maid don't like the idea

The sump

The sump

Traditionally the sump has gone thru a lot when it comes to evolution

Personally I do not like sumps underneath tanks I always believe that a fish room is the best for many reasons of course if you do not have space please do not mind me...

Most of my work now comes from houses under construction so I can plan ahead and ask the owner and builder for a room of my own

<a href="http://s1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee463/Symphy68/The%20Works%203/?action=view&current=DSCN2418.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee463/Symphy68/The%20Works%203/DSCN2418.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

When it comes to large aquaria you better be prepared with lots of room and stay away from the traditional 3/4 and 1" plumbing

<a href="http://s1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee463/Symphy68/The%20Works%203/?action=view&current=DSCN2417.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1229.photobucket.com/albums/ee463/Symphy68/The%20Works%203/DSCN2417.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The pipes are 3 " each

Hey Paul,

Great that you are here again.

Well what can I say each client has a different taste but you never know that I can change his mind at some point.

Do you like the salt?

Gram per gram one of the best things I ever seen in the industry so far...
