Pale Potter's Angel (picture)

My potter angel (~1" long) has started to fade and turn pale. He's been in the tank for around a month. He's active and moving around the tank picking at the rocks. Not breathing irregularly and no noticeable bullying from tank mates. Prams I can currently test for are below. Waiting on a few more kits to test for the rest. Currently running carbon(rox) and bio pellets in a dual reactor.

I rotate feeding mysis, brine, new life spectrum (all purpose), and reef chili.

3 nitrate
0 nitrite
0 ammonia
8.2 pH
1.024 sg
78F

Any ideas? Please let me know if there's any other information needed to help diagnose.

Thanks.

Not an expert on Potters Angel, but it looks OK to me - looks like mine. Is it eating the foods you add?

If it's eating then your winning half the battle... In the second picture it looks as though there are some spots on the pectoral fins? Did you treat the fish for anything when you got her? That's a awesome little potters, where did you get it?

He is, I was just told that they like sponges so I'm going to get the formula designed for pygmy angels tomorrow.

He is eating and pooping and active 'kissing' surfaces, was trying to anticipate any problem before it's too late. I cleaned the glass before the second picture so what you're seeing is probably just floating particles. Thanks, I got him at my lfs.

I have to agree with the spots on the pectoral fins. I would take a closer look at them.

It's only 1" long ?
Regardless ... potters are known for seemingly eating/doing well for a few months and then dropping dead.

If he's eating and otherwise acting normal, I wouldn't worry too much. What are the other inhabitants of the tank?

Yes maybe 1.25", he's small and young.

bicolor blenny and oc clown

Did you quarantine him before hand? How long have you had your other fish in the main?
Did not quarantine, he was great for a couple weeks. I added him at the same time as the blenny clown was in for a month before.

I went and picked up some angel food with sponge to help fatten him up a little more.

Those spots on his pectoral fins are a little concerning. If indeed they are spots and not floating particles. I would be prepared (have meds on hand, QT available) in the event he or his tank mates start flashing, breathing heavy, etc. He is a cute little thing though:)

I'll get some meds and be prepared. See the particles floating around in the negative space of the picture? There's a lot of that in my tank probably from sand that got upturned, which leads me to believe its just particles stuck to his body and fins.
