Peeping Banggai Fry

Snakemanvet - Nice! Congrats again! heheh!

Salali - I usually catch my male somewhere between 21-25 days. Start counting from the 1st day your male started holding. But ofcourse, before you start trying to catch your male, try to look for peeping banggai fry. If you see some moving around in his mouth then you can already catch him. Just make sure you already have some newly hatched BBS cause you will need to feed the fy right after they are released. Good luck!

mine too! Have you tried ocean nutrition formula 1 flakes? Im mixing some of that now with the BBS. Hopefully after some time they will take that already.

Our male is still holding his fry, we guess he has been holding for 10 days now. We are trying to catch him and has been difficult to say the lease! our tank is 96"x36"x24"
He is a FAST swimmer.
We don't want to stress him out in fear he might spit or swallow the eggs, and advise will be appreciated!

We don't "see" them, but we can tell he has a mouth full of fry, he is not eating and we can see some movement in his mouth.

Usually you can catch him between 21-25 days from the 1st day he held on to his eggs. So what you can do to minimize stress is wait till lights out, then get a flashlight and just point it on to his face so he will temporarily be blinded then just catch him using a clear container such as a plastic bag or a soda bottle with the bottom cut out. That should minimize the stress. Good luck!

Nice! try to get them to eat something else other than brine already. Shred some mysis and see if they will take it. My pair has another clutch of eggs again! All the fries are still with me and i really dont have space anymore. Have to get the 1st batch out already! heheh!
