40 gallon breeder w/20 gallon Long DIY sump/refugium, 70 lbs Tropic Eden Tonga Miniflakes, Vertex 130 Protein Skimmer, Speedwave DC3000 return pump, Nova Extreme 6 bulb T5 fixture, 40 pounds live Marco Rock

I currently have:
1 Tank bred Ocellaris Clownfish
1 Moyer's Red Dragonet
1 Peppermint Shrimp, may actually be a Camelback, not certain
1 Emerald Crab
CUC consisting of multiple Blue Leg crabs, multiple Red Leg Crabs, several Mexican turbos, Nassarius, Nerite and Cerith snails

I am looking to round out the tank with a Dwarf Angel, a pair of Clown Gobies and a McCosker's or Flasher Wrasse, one not both

I would appreciate your thoughts on this combination

PS tank has been up and running around 6 months, I've just been slow adding things. I have a DIY pod condo with live rock rubble, Chaeto and multiple species of pods including Tisbe, Tangerine and Amphipods galore on glass and substrate.

I currently have:
1 Tank bred Ocellaris Clownfish
1 Moyer's Red Dragonet supplement copepods with nutramar ova
1 Peppermint Shrimp, may actually be a Camelback, not certain camelbacks are not reef safe
1 Emerald Crab
CUC consisting of multiple Blue Leg crabs, multiple Red Leg Crabs, several Mexican turbos, Nassarius, Nerite and Cerith snails in the long run, you will need to choose snails or hermits as the hermits will kill snails

I am looking to round out the tank with a Dwarf Angel needs a larger tank , a pair of Clown Gobies unless a bonded pair, only one and a McCosker's or Flasher Wrasse as they consume copepods, may be a problem with your dragonet and recommended tank size for flasher wrasses is about 70 gallons , one not both

I would appreciate your thoughts on this combination

[welcome]

75g mixed reef, 35g sump.

current occupants are:
2 longnose hawkfish
2 snowflake clowns
1 royal gramma
1 orange spotted goby
1 mccosker's wrasse
1 kole tang

i added the kole tang last night after several weeks in qt, ttm, another 3.5 weeks in qt. while he still has a few lympho spots, they are getting fewer and he is doing GREAT in the dt!!!

i currently have a red velvet fairy wrasse in qt and will start ttm sometime in the next few days.

if i can add one more fish, i'd like to add something yellow. am i maxed out or will one more be ok? i have been told the yellow coris wrasse can do fine in a reef tank but i need to hear that from you. :) these dang wrasses are addictive!!

thanks, steve!

Halichoeres chrysus is coral safe, but not shrimp or tube worm safe.

i just have one cleaner shrimp which i could live without (return to lfs). by tube worm, do you mean the tiny feather dusters on the live rock or are you talking about my bigger feather dusters? i have several of those and i'd hate to have to remove them.

It is not clear. They will eat fireworms and pyramidellid snails, protecting corals and clams but may eat feather dusters, wild shrimp, tubeworms, and flatworms. They are a cool fish, however.

100G .. 2 clownfish and 1 yellow tang. Want to add a Swalessi Swissguard Basslet.

Thoughts? Fairly compatible fish? Anything I should know/consider?

That addition is compatible. Best to understand that an established yellow tang will be highly aggressive to similar additions.

I have 2 Ocellaris, a Sailfin Blennie, a PJ and a Kaudern's Cardinal, and a Firefish.

I'm wondering if I can add a One Spot Foxface, a Bellus Female Angel and a Flame Angel? Or is impossible to have two Angels in a 75?

A foxface or a bellus angel really need a larger tank. A flame angel is no problem at all. A second dwarf angel is also doable if added concurrently.

My reef tank currently has LR with a few softies, a lot of sponge, three serpant stars with bodies the size of a quarter, hermit crabs, snails, couple of porcelien crabs, a filter feeding cucumber, a tiger cucumber, at least one pistol shrimp and 5-6 small red colored crabs that i think are mithrax. I caught a large ugly gorilla crab that now lives in my sump.

Currently has only one fish, a randalls assessor basslet. I would like to add some colorful damsels, but am afraid they would stress out the basslet. Other choice would be jawfish, blennies, gobies, dartfish but am concerned they would be attacked by the crabs.

I have good cover for the tank and about 3" sand bed for jawfish

Thoughts?

Damsels are aggressive. The other choices are good ones, but somewhat depends on the species and number of each. Some, e.g. some species of jawfish, can be multiples, others like firefish cannot.

Thoughts? I do not trust crabs. The only exception is porcelain crabs.

1 nig trigger needs a significantly larger tank; this fish may turn into a real terror or may be moderately aggressive; not likely to be shrimp safe
1 file fish

want to add.

2 elegant fire fish only one firefish for long term survival
2 scooter blennys only one dragonet in this size tank
1 lyertail anthias (male) --- female in a few weeks

others - carpet carpets are fish eaters - long ten - 2 star fish - peperment shrimp - cleaner shrimp - hammer coral

Looking into trading in the trigger. My LFS said the firefish was a mated pair..? not sure how to tell or if I should believe them. lol also told me 2 blennys would be fine in a 125g.....I would assume they would both mow down my copepods. Got the carpet for the clowns a few years ago....should I get rid of..? not sure if I can get it out.

been looking into a good fish selection

LFS sell fish. I don't. Dragonets (they are not blennies) eat copepods and for long term survival, there needs to be sufficient.

Yeah I know you don't....just wish I could get some good info at time of purchase. will the copepod in a 125g be enough for one dragonet..? and how can you tell if you have mated pair of firefish..? or should I take one back..?

Copepods are sufficient for one. The odds of a mated pair of firefish is slim to none. How would they get them? They would have to be collected and transported together. And if they did have those, they would charge a lot more. Any LFS that claims that would have a credibility gap with me.
