very cute.. so are you going to name him/her? (also, how big is it? just curious)
i have and i'll second that. a lfs had a 3.5"er not too long ago. i know what you're describing re wild caught orchid dottybacks (had and have seen many), and have had those intense coloring occur in tank bred fridmani too. a diet inc. lots of live bristle worms and other reef buggers does it. btw have only come across one candy basslet at a not so local lfs (28years exp.), very disappointing! was big (prob. old) and in bad condition.Originally posted by Project Reef You just have to see them in person to see the glow they put out. I get the same warm and fuzzy feeling when looking at a wild caught P. fridmani from the Red Sea or a L. carmabi.
I agree with this completely. The captive raise Orchid Dottyback have deformities that really put a damper on me when I see these beautiful fish. I really wanted to see a wild caught one, but they are so rare and will never get to Corpus Christi.Originally posted by Project Reef
