Upgrade Build- Dowtish's 120 gal Oceanic Tech Tank DSPS

Interesting. Seems like people have very hit and miss luck with them. I'm assuming you keep them well fed?

Cyclopeze everyday just for them. They love it.

I feed heavily for the whole system 2-3 times a day. Pellets, flakes, frozen, nori and reef chili also.

They do a lot of hiding in the SPS branches in this tank way more than they did in my old tank too....just an observation, not sure if it has anything to do with why they dont fight with each other. My purple tang will give them chase here and there, but nothing serious.

I'm assuming heavily feeding keeps competition to a minimum, compared to a system with less feeding anyway. The group of them looks great!

Of the above, get these first:
30K Lokani
RMF Tri Color Prostrata
dustin's Deepwater - IF you can get hold of this...havent seen this one mentioned for a while...
RR Orange Passion - This is an awesome coral. EASY to colour up. Seriously.

I'm not gaga over a lot of the RR pieces like other people are, but I do agree that the orange passion looks phenomenal, one I would like to have.

I am the same way about RR acros. Most of them dont impress me all that much, but those 2 in particular are nice. I just need to find someone who has these at a decent price.

I really think the dustin's deepwater is extinct. No one here in the states has been able to find it....

Finally got rid of all my green slime algae on the sandbed. Things are doing well over all now. Happiest Ive been with the tank since the move.

I really like the lay out, but I particularly like the middle arrangement on the back. Looks like a floating island!

Rather "Avatarish"......

Yeah, I thought as much. I know user Myzislow on this forum had a large sized colony...but I found out about 4 months ago that he lost it along with some other of his corals. :(

Wow, nice additions. Love the clam, the mari unknown piece, the fish and the SSC especially!

:(

I dont think I will find a piece of it, but that is why its on the coveted list.:headwally:

Love the depth of your tank. I really like how your rockscape has taken full advantage of the depth, this has resulted in a very pleasing display. Great work.

thank you kind sir for the complement. I still plan on mounting the efflo colony to the back glass. I have acquired the encased magnets to do it, I just need to get the wet saw from my club to make a straight cut on the back. This will give the look of even more depth to the tank and more real estate where the colony is now.
