I see you are running BB with a refugium.Has that worked great for you?The reason I'm asking this. When I had my refugium long ago,had sand in the main tank. The good old Berlin Method. Then the refugiums came into the picture. Then it was BB.I'm trying to find the results, you are having with BB and a refugium. With no sand in the main tank.I know one guy that getting outstanding results with this method. But would like to here,as your sucess this has been for you?Because back then it was sand in the main, with refugium also. But haven't found a lot of folks, doing" BB" and a " sand" refugium.Would like to know if you are getting the growth and color, with this combo?I just don't want to go there,if it's not worth the extra $$$ to set it up this way.
Thanks
Curt

I'd like here more about this also,as i was aready thinking the same thing.

I have 2 tanks with starboard. One softie and one SPS.The SPS I just added a Pro Series Eco Sytem with miracle mud and am impressed with the color changes in my acros.Eco System has always recommended bare bottom or if you have to have sand less than 1 inch for aesthetics.

Man, almost an exxact 50/50 of sandbed:no sandbed.

Guess it goes to show that there is no recipe for success! ;)
...and all that debate has now been determined pointless.
