Who will/will not quarantine a newly collect anemone from the wild? Please reply

Who, among us anemone keepers that have at least one anemone, will and who will not quarantine a newly collect anemone? A healthy 2nd hand anemone does not count in this informal poll. I would really love to know the rough estimate. There is certainly no right or wrong in answer this question.
If you quarantine, is it due to personal experience or from experience of others?

Quarantine for sure, lost too many established nems from "infections or stress" induced by the newly acquired animal. Once the new anemone is stable in QT, then it is much easier to introduce to the display

After losing both a red S. haddoni and a 12 year old tan one from an "infected" purple S. haddoni, I will never attempt to add a second one to a tank that has an existing one again.

It was a very painful lesson.

When dealing with the same species, I like to QT. With different species, I don't worry so much.

Perhaps because making it a sticky might imply endorsement for what Ron wrote. I personally would not assume that writing applies to all anemones, and Ron probably hasn't tried it on all species despite the fact that he doesn't qualify the recommendation. I also do not believe some of it is accurate.

That said, I haven't quarantined any of my anemones, but in the future, I'll probably just not try to add multiples rather than set up what I think would be needed to properly qt a tricky anemone like a gigantea.

I have never QT'd a nem just because I usually want to get that nem in a stable/established environment asap, and I just don't have a QT tank that could equal to my display.
I've never had any negative experience from this personally.
This is just me telling what I've done, I'm not advising or advocating this.
At this point I no longer keep multiple nems anyways, one good stellar specimen, and that takes up plenty of space in my tank, leave the rest for corals.

I don't use the procedure the suggested either. I try my best to provide optimal condition for my new anemone. I do maintain several separate systems. Almost all set up with a particular species of anemone in mind. I run an anemone less cube that if I see a beautiful Magnifica or Gigantea, I can put it right in there.

The crap that Shemik says never ceases to amaze me. It would be funny if it weren't for the fact that so many people actually believe what he says.
I surely hope none would put their brand new anemone, still stressed from shipping, in 65 degree water.:rolleye1:
