A Smart? Aquarium in Taiwan...

Gotcha! So you just love the BK skimmers as do most. Good for you for buying yiurself a gift, there is no doubt that the skimmer is working for you as your tank is beautiful.

Stunning pics as always my friend, your colors are so amazing! I am very curious to hear also your experience in transition. This is one hell of a display, and just keeps getting better, wonderful :)

Not all that good on BK, even I haven't found anything better than BK on running mode.
When I hand carried back my BK300, I found my RD3 pump was broken on inline neck. I thought that was my own fault break it somewhere, somehow. But just lately, my friend bought the same pump and found it break exactly same place. See first picture.

Anyhow, I did not file complain. Instead,my friend, Dr. Bridge help us repair it and reinforce it a bit. Not perfect, but strong enough. Yes, I may lost power a bit, but at least no need to worry it break again when I was not around.

Dr. Bridge is just amazing... a reefer friend that everyone need one... Hahaha.

Picture of my friend's RD3 pump, and mine broke the exactly same way, same place....

One thing you missed.
We order the V10 interface for RD3 using on Apex but under poor pickup management they deliver the cable for GHL. I try to contact them but until now no answer back.

We have no choose and bought another one.

It's really frustrated!

Thanks. I will definitely update my AF work here. It just too many business trips slow down my plan.

Awesome set up. I'm going to follow this one.

Thanks.

I tried not to mention who is the other poor guy suffer on this, but since you voluntarily show up.... Haha...
Yes, RD3 10v adapter is another story. Well, at least they are very consistent on mistake they made. Two completely different order from different guys, but same mistake. How wonderful...

Yellow acro

Yellow acro

Shih, this yellow acro on the left, do you know its origins - if it is indonesia, or australia? I visited a local reefer this weekend and he had the exact same acro in his tank for a year now and it hasn't turned green. His came from Australia and he keeps it under ATI T5s as well.

on the left? hmmm..... It was sometime last year I got from a LFS's display tank and I forgot to ask where it from. It was neon yellow since then....Reason he sold it to me because he plan to close this store (2nd store) and only focus on his original store.

Sorry I don't remember it is Indonesia or Australia.

In fixing the RD3 break, instead of using an insert which reduces the ID, why not just reinforce the break from the outside with some epoxy?

I used epoxy to fix the output pipe on my old ATB when it broke.

I am not sure I trust epoxy only since it break to a few pieces, not one piece. But thanks.

Someday, someplace, you will find an auto alkalinity device is crucial and just once, it all pay off…..Lately, I am traveling between UK and US multiple times from 3 days to a week. That gives me very limited time to take care my tank.

About 10 days ago, I hurry mixed new baking soda solution and refilled my almost empty container… After that, I keep seeing my KH value drop from the log of my auto alkalinity monitor device (KHG). I even bought all three new test kits (Hanna, Redsea, and Salifert) to check my alkalinity, and they all agreed my KH reading from KHG. I was so stubborn believing I must mixed wrong ratio of baking soda this time or my coral has great grow these days… Hahaha…
So...... my reaction is to increase dosing volume on my Apex DoS setting, from original 45 ml/hr all the way to 75 ml/hr, but KH still dropping.

Until yesterday, while I already thousand miles away from home (I am in UK now actually), I realised it does not make sense since I just increased to a unbelievable high dosing volume as 95 ml/hr before I left home, and KH still dropping rapidly. I was shock!!!

After a few minutes cool down myself and recheck, I found the mistake I made. I accidentally turn my KH dosing from “auto” to “off”….. What the XXXX

Thanks God after I correct it (change to “auto”), reduce dosing back to 45 ml/hr after two big dose of 90 ml, and then run alkalinity twice after that, my alkalinity seems back to normal.

I am so happy to see the aquarium technology move to this level that I can remotely correct mistake and avoid coral tank crush.

Red box shows I add some backing soda directly to tank to raise KH manually before I left home, and the last four readings show tank KH drop rapidly in 18 hours

Wow. Awesome work my friend. I saw the pics on FB. Which KZ and AF products are you dosing? How do you find time to dose so many different potions?
