A Smart? Aquarium in Taiwan...

I do not think there is a remote controller for the calcium reactors at the moment.
DaStaCo has an easy controller and is what I am using. But small adjustments still have to be done by manually turning the button.
As now there is Alk measurement with remote control information, than a remote controlled calcium reactor would be the future thing to have.
Or even better, KH Guardian controlling the reactor!

Lol. What you do not see, does not hurt. Cables are meant to be a mess.

I am not familiar to DaStaCo, will take a look, thanks for the information.
When thing call as a "reactor", I actually a bit nervous to remote control it. Haha... Anyhow, I will share your wish list to KHG owner.

Yes, that is what I told my wife, "cables are meant to be a mess"... till it made myself suffer by bending my body and sour knee when work on cleaning job....:headwalls:

Thanks. How's your worm issue going on? Did you take care of it?

Haha you saw that. I'm waiting for corals to recover from my nutrient dosing experiment. Once I see them regain color I'm getting rid of the old live rock. It's gonna be messy.

Sure I follow your every move and learn ;-)

I hate worm as well. That is why my main tank only used dead rock, and keep fresh rocks only in refugium for necessary bacteria grow. Remember a few days ago I ran main pump cleaning.... Wow..... I found so many crabs and worms hiding there. :thumbdown

Good luck for your tank cleaning plan.

A few coral silently perform better now
After first one turn back from 3 year brown, more coral waking up now. The 2nd one was a gift from friend 5 years ago. Never dead but never grow either till now......

Inspirational! Congrats on your superb sps garden.
I'm from the UK, but I spent two weeks in Taiwan many years ago, in Hualien at the home of Tzu Chi . Beautiful place. The earthquakes were a bit scary though :)

Good luck with your aquarium, looking forward to seeing more updates.

Welcome of visiting Taiwan. Earthquake and power outages are two major concerns for Taiwan reefers.

You reminded me that I hav'nt shot this angle for quite a while.

Oh my goodness. I think my eyes just had an orgasm. :inlove:

Some FB friends thought the top one is a 3D rendering result.
No, but the bottom one is.

Apex AFS is great, all the program I can control.....but.... hard to place it on a rimless open top tank.... Just awful....really awful....the cord, the chunky piece
Until.....my friend offer a POC which solve my problem .... Ya!!!!
It work perfectly on top of my ATI fixture.

I love it, and my fish love it, too

Yes. Not everyone today still use canopy...:headwally:

I run rimless as well and it's very challenging to find things that look nice on it. Really hate that my tunze PH's have cords but a closed loop was not a possibility on my tank.

Just installed a really expensive screen so I can keep wrasses but even though it's clear acrylic and cut to precisely fit my tank and even sits flush with the rim of the tank, I still think it hurts the aesthetics of the rimless setup. I may skip keeping wrasses over this.

Same here.... Wrasses just can't keep well in rimless tank. Most end of on my floor, however, I do have two stay well in tank still, but not buying more anymore.

It is challenge to keep rimless neat, but that also the fun part.

Very nice Food Chute design, looks great. Slick looking.
You need a matching floating ring since I find food goes down overflow with auto feeders, without one.
Or maybe falling from that high, pellets break the water surface?

On the topic of Jumping Wrasse. I just learned first hand. It was lucky that wrasse jumped into my Overflow box the first time. So I put on a guard over overflow, and also added a Framed Mesh on top tank. Then it disappeared again few weeks later. The only opening was a 3" acrylic tube for feeding. Must have been a lucky jump thru, but no idea where it landed. Never ever found after searching high and low. I give up on wrasse.

This is a nice FTS. It's a different aquascape from TOTM.

Haha..... So you are a red color lover

Not just red. I love all the colours in there. Red looks fabulous yes. Also outstanding is pink acro with orange polyps and the pale blue one with just tiny spots of yellow. Were they in your system before or did you just become a better photographer?
