Acros make me smile again

Hey thanks Dan, that's a huge compliment coming from the owner of such a beautiful tank!

Yes, these shots are all post AEFW. I've been worm free for over 2.5 years now :) (Yes, I still let my paranoia get the best of me, and periodically go through the tank with a MJ1200, blasting my corals, looking for worms). Hang in there, recovery sucks, but eventually you'll be glad you stuck it out!

Thanks but only a few of my corals survived the worms themselves, plus the QT, plus the meds, plus the transfer back... I'd have done things diffrently knowing then what I know now.

Cool shot I took tonight:

Good stuff Peter

Thanks but no :o That was one of my very few failed glue jobs... the whole thing fell into the acans below it :(

is that pocci a damicornis? I have been looking for the cauliflower type for ages. I cannot seem to grow milli.... have triedmany colors as well as prostrata.. I dont thin I have a nutrient problem, but have lots of fish..

great looking stuff, well done!

Thanks very much!

You lost it? Whaaaat?:sad2:
The first of the no name clones you are referring to looks like a vermiculata.

Yes, after it fell, I glued it back...but poof! It was gone overnight :( Oh, sorry I wasn't clear...when I said clones I meant in the same picture as the hawkins... those two frags around it are no-name versions.

LOOOKING good Peter!

Thanks!

I don't have any pocci's in my tank any more. I had a really hard time keeping milles pretty before vodka dosing. Their big long polyps would always be brown, and obscure the skeletal color.

Very nice Peter

Love the dense growth pattern of your acros, of course stunning coloration as well.

Thanks. I can even see the branches starting to curve in the direction of the flow!

damn, those are big colonies!!! do you ever trim them? or you just let them grow and grow and grow.. :D

The colonies are actually not all that big, but I do have to trim once in a while... just to keep things from touching.

Was goign through my photos today. Thought this was neat...

10-14-07 (after dropping through two different euphyllia, and coming to rest on a sinularia. Note the dead upper half... it was a nice double branch frag)
