Anyone tried the Coralvue Reeflux 10k bulbs?

Anyone else have pictures of these bulbs or comments about them? I'm considering these for my tank but I'm not really sure if they are right for me because the stores here only run Hamilton 14k so I don't have much reference for comparison. Any information or pictures would be really appreciated.

(I'll be running 3x 250w SE bulbs over a 180g without any additional lighting/actinics)

i noticed that if you dont go and try it out yourself, no matter how many pictures you see most people wont go out and buy it. I bought it and it's awsome for me.

I'm currently running 400 20kxm very pleased the key to running the 20kxm is to over drive the bulb, I running them on hqi ballast with great color and growth he few pic with all lights on,

If you are running XM 20k's on HQI ballasts then you are wasting extra electricity and getting less par. These bulbs put out the highest par on a M58/M59 ballast. Par on the HQI ballast is substantially lower. So you may be overdriving the bulbs in terms of electrical usage, but you are underdriving them in terms of output.

Can somebody tell me how the 20K xm's should perform on a 400w Blueline e-ballast?, I'm running radiums right now and due to change them out, I like the Radiums alot, they run alone, I don't run any other supplemental lighting, just the changing out every 6/7 months is costly.

Here's a pretty accurate representation of the look of the CVReeflux 10k's [1 month burn in] supplemented with 192w PC actinic. I recently hooked my old [year old mind you] Hamilton 14k's to compare and was shocked by how crappy the Hamiltons looked in comparison.

What ballast are you running? Do you have a picture without actinics on?

It's IceCap electronic ballasts. I don't have any pics w/o actinics uploaded on photobucket or I'd post it for you... sorry

I really want to try these bulbs on my IC 175watt, now. I was going to get the hamliton, but now since these run pretty close to the 14k range on IC, I am seriously going to go this route..

Any more update on these, guys?

Thanks PUGroyale. I'd be running them on Icecaps so that useful information. Can I ask one more thing though?

How would you describe the bulbs running without the actinics, compared to the picture you posted. Is it more white or more pink than your picture? You picture along with some others from this thread look pretty good, but some others have a very pink hue to them and I don't like that at all. I'm not sure if the pink is coming from their camera, another kind of actinic bulb or if that's how the icecap runs the bulb. If these bulbs have even a slight pink hue to them on icecap ballasts I don't think I'd like them, but if there is no pink and that's coming from an outside factor they might be what I'm looking for. Thanks.

my Reeflux bulb died within a month, but the owner of CV is gone for the moment it will be a while before i get my replacements.

I think mine have a hint of pink to them. The pink coraline on the walls don't help out either.
