How not to build a 750/1500 gallon build thread-Khaosinc 3/5/71-8/30/11

are you worried about exposing tank to ick . it would kinda suck to add all the fish you are going to add and have them all exposed.

he is are in a quarantine tank. I wouldn't even begin to think about trying to get a fish back out of that tank...

I learned my lesson the hard way with my last tank..

be careful with hypo. I have a strain of ich that survived 6 weeks in 1.009 - 1.010. I gave up after that.

otherwise, tank looks great! I'm still tagging along.

devils hands are kinda picky, just kinda move em around and youll eventually find a spot for em, took me a while to find a good spot for mine, and how its doing very well

good i am glad you did qt , because in the future you are prob going to have a good amount of stock in a tank like yours . you are going to have to be super carefull. how have you been feeling i am assuming no news is good news.

Health wise I'm still not dead. I've pulled one of the screws loose in my chest plate, but I'm not about to let anymore doctors touch me at this point. I figure if I ignore it long enough it will go away.

so in general what did you find that your devils hand liked. I'm running t'5s and its at about 20" and currently being lightly dusted by a Korila 8 thats a couple feet away.

My devils hand has been under PCs, VHOs, and now MHs. When I first added it to my 75, I had in a high flow area, and the edges would fall off and move to an area of less flow, almost like it was fraggin itself so it would survive. I then moved it to calmer spot and it has been chillin, no more "fraggin". I will try to get you some pics later. It has been happy both high and low in the column.

so I scored a lighting fixture at a local industrial supply place. its pretty wide for most tanks, but 2' isn't much on this pig. Its an 8 bulb T-5 HO, with what looks to be pretty decent reflectors. For $89 I figured what the heck.

just has some 6500K bulbs in it for now. I figure with a mix of 10K and atinic it should make some nice light.

Nice find seems like K. Hope it works out for you :). I've managed to read from the beginning finally, I have to say you are 'da Man! I put you up there with the Energizer Bunny and Timex watches my friend, Kudo's to you. Please keep the updates coming, and I can't wait for more K stories :).

Hope you have turned the corner on the health issues also.
