How not to build a 750/1500 gallon build thread-Khaosinc 3/5/71-8/30/11

If theres nothing else I can say about WPH, they are not shy on shipping boxes. even though it was a free shipping deal both are in heavy styrofoam boxes, double bagged and in about 7 gallons of water each. Not to mention the fancy football thing that they came in to protect them.

Dart is a '66... if they would ever build a better car, I'll buy one..

Singing the praises of Marco rock...

3 months ago it want in as base rock...

and this is today.. close up veiw (to lazy to clean the tank today) of the bottom center of the above pic. Haven't even moved the rocks

is there anything under the rubble rock? I may just have to do this on my next tank

I ordered them from wet pets Hawaii... LOL... HI

You won't find a more fish oriented shipper, and his customer service I saw when dealing with a couple people a local forum sold me. They were in the tank hours ago, but I had to run down to the other end of the state to deliver some things... and picked up some auctions I won. MY GF took some pics after I got them in the tank... You'll be seeing them as soon as I do..

Female going in... Zip ties were from the aforementioned football looking thing. Really cool idea. Appearently my dog ate them while I was gone however...

and not shy...

Apperently later that day they found each other and were swimming together. As soon as I get my feet back from 10 hours of driving I need to figure out which hidy hole they are in...

Maybe tommorow I'll figure out what I brought home from Oceans in a box as well... LOL. If you are ever around the WA/OR border he's well worth stopping in. He's mostly set up forinternet based sales, but buying in shop you get as good a deal as you do on Ebag...

Love the new triggers. I can't believe the coralline growth in just 3 months on those rocks. WOW. This tank is becoming as spectacular as I'd imagined it could be when I started subscribing to this thread in the very beginning. I'm very glad to see it happening for you Khaos. I will no doubt continue to be amazed by what you accomplish with this 'little' piece of the ocean.
P.S. Isn't it about time for some more ferret pics? LOL

well, I've searched for the triggers for at least an hour... figured out where the female is sleeping. I suspect they will be out together tommorow especially once food hits the water. Hell, I only see the 6" marine Betta once a month.. LOL, I couldn't find all 3 hippo's either. Too many nooks and crannys in there.

But ferret pics I can do...

Not a ferret, but thinks he is one... sleeps in cage with them and all...

3 dogs, 3 cats, 6 ferrets (I think) a turtle and a couple of fish...

Poop is a topic in this house more often than in the lounge.

Also.. I guess the buyer of the hood caved on the shipping costs you offered?

He came around to my way of thinking after I mentioned for less I could cut it up and mail it to him, or I'll give it to the derby guys as a spare..

and yea... a list of basic needs.. MY GF likes to write on walls...

how about tank pics instead of furry ones..

How about a mess of update pics. I'm to sore for much else today..

I tore the diveder out, and as soon as I scrounge the cash for more rock from Marc, I'm gonna redo this whole mess. Planning on a full softy reef for Eels and angels. My goal is to get it stocked enough with all the fast growing softies that when the Angel grows up, he can't eat them as fast as they grow.
