How not to build a 750/1500 gallon build thread-Khaosinc 3/5/71-8/30/11

I'm using a mix of various powered par 38 LEDS. got a deal on 20 of the 36w (12 cree 3w) ones and a bunch of 12x1w blue ones. I also have a bunch of smaller ones to fill in any spaces. No drivers, or pucks... just screw in to a lightsocket and go.

Pac sun has also contacted me about maybe being a demo for the 2011 model, in which case I may go that way. Lots of info but I think its all supposed to be secret though.

Still waiting on one more box I still have 20 of 36w (12 3w crees) PAR 38's coming ... but the LED project has begun..

We have a 250w LED street light...

Aw, shucks! You're Mom is helping you pick out your jack-o-lantern!!! How wonderful!!!:wavehand: Awesome build, by the way....I've been on the edge of my seat the whole thread.

The GF dragged us all out there. I'm not much for holidays and really don't like ones that involve people coming to my door. I can't actually walk far enough any more to get out in the field anyway.

And to everyone who PMed... I got the par 38 lights from some Ebay wholesaler that I contacted directly... I'll look it up and figure out who it was and post it in a bit. I ordered th3em in bulk to get the prices.

Wish I felt as good as I look...LOL

Still trying to finish the bedroom repaint/new floor thing first. Last of the mold problems I hope. (except the kitchen... need to move a gas line etc.. )

Yea.... still not dead. Just haven't been motivated enough to clean the tank enough to see in it, let alone build this light. If I knew how to get rid of it I would.

Can't sell it... won't give it away... can't afford to have it running and can barely take care of it if I could. I can't stand dealing with the vultures hovering around trying to get free stuff.

Hopefully this will pass and I'll be back at it, but at the moment it hurts to much to just clean it so I can see in there. So I feed it, and top off water.

Khaos - sorry to hear that you are not feeling so great. You are right - this will pass. Just allow yourself some time to take care of you. The tank will be alright and when you finally do get the energy to clean it, you never know what you will find. Almost like having a new tank again.

Please take care of yourself.

PS: I agree with you about the vultures - can't stand them! If they want something that bad....go buy it!

Keep the faith bro. If all you can do it feed and top off, just do that. The rest of it'll still be there when you feel better.

I know what you mean about vultures. It's all too common phenomenon today with economy etc.

Thanks to all the Vets out there...

I'm still kicking... the 1000w LED lighting system is built, unfortunetly I don't have any way to get it on top of the tank by myself... suppose I should have built it in pieces... LOL.

I put a few of them over the tank to see... I think I' might end up having more light than I did before, and 1/3 the power. Hoping to rig the 250w LED street light up over the fuge as well as soon as I rig up some reflectors to aim it all at 1 tank.

I really should learn how to have friends in the real world...

Glad to see that you're still at it. I'm sure that this last year or so has been hell on you, both physically and mentally.

Know that you have a ton of virtual friends, all of whom wish that they lived closer to you.

Hang in there.
