Took me a month to read your whole thread thus far! Too busy to read it all in one sitting. Anyway, I have to say very impressive...I learned quite a bit from just reading this thread. Very informative...it also feels like I was there with you during the build. I look forward to seeing more pics of your tank... camera is taking great pics by the way bud.

Sandbed? Not sure how I feel about it. 4-5 "

I vacuum top half of 1/2 the tank every other water change (25% every 2 weeks).

Kind of wish I had just 1" sandbed althought I am sure there are alot of benefits to it.


Small update. I have added alot of fish, & a few LPS, SPS. Slowing Waaay down on SPS.

Hope you enjoy. Need to figure out how to adjust the white balance on video camera. It looks alot better in person.

Wow....tank has def come along since I last saw it! Looks amazing...my wife told me that she wants a tank in the bedroom and that we need to get a bigger one. lol I told her were going for a thousand with a 150 in the bedroom!

great video!!!! you seem to have a nice mix between lps and sps. Would you say that you have more of one than the other?

I have more SPS, they are just smaller. The LPS are definitely easier to keep. SPS still baffle me. One day everything is fine, then RTN they just wither away while the one next to it thrives. I think I have turned the corner on SPS. They are all growing well & coloring up nicely.

Added a purple carpet & elegance this weekend.


All of my problems started when I changed salt. Used reef crystals for over a year & then changed to tropic marin pro. I have changed back to reef crystals & things are doing a lot better.

Like the color on the corals. How do you like the sol blue so far? I can't decide on the ai sol blue or the hydra. I also have AGE tank. Mine is 96x24x36tall.

Since I came from MH lights, I love LED's. If I were to do today & think the only thing the SOL's are missing is the red led. My reds look great, but gold's are not as Gold as they are in other tanks. Overall I am VERY happy with them.

I need to take some pics, they come out better than the video. Tank is not that blue in person.
