After all the work today. I had a total fish loss :sad1: This stinks.....

I lost the following..
My prize CBB he was big and he was my favorite.
Powder Blue Tang
Pair of True Perc Clowns
Blond Naso Tang
3 Lyretail Anthia's
Blenny
Yellow Wrasse
......

I had a heater in the tub so I'm not sure what they died from. I last checked them at 4:30pm and they were doing ok.

We had troubles with the sump fitting under the stand so we had to alter the stand. Also had a cracked bulk head so that had to be replaced. As it is the corals might not make it either. Time will tell tomorrow... I'm heading to bed..........

Sorry dude .Your not alone,I lost all my fish in one day after a tank change ,Everyone said it must of been from the stress of the move ..but on the plus side of things all my corals lived and a sixline .Now i have one fish and thinking of getting a pair of clowns and nothing else!! Im tempted to buy a hippo and a blue spot jaw fish every time i goto arc but my lost is still fresh . hang in there

Sorry to hear.

Did you have coral or sand or anything else in the tub with the fish? Pump for recirc? Did you capture ultra clean tank water for the fish tub before you stirred up the tank? Lots of fish is small tub?

Agh Dave!!! That's horrible! Dave and Tim were just here yesterday am getting frags for the zoo and we were talking about you maybe getting a 300 DD tank...... this blows!!! Sorry for your troubles.

Well the corals look rough but hopefully They will pull through. I've already finished the stand and sump this morning. Have the tank on the stand. Going to throw some rock in there now and get things rolling.

Mike I will be getting another CBB, thats for sure. So give a heads up to the guys.

Randy no I had nothing in there. No sand or rock. The water wasn't too bad that I could tell. But I hadn't done a water change prior on the tank for about a month as I knew I was changing it out. So it wasn't pristine either. There was a heater but no pumps or power heads. All the fish listed above plus 4 Chromis. Had them in one of those round tubs they sell at Lowes a 20 Gallon. I probably did a whole lot of things wrong as this was my first try at this.

Cully that was the plan. This 90 was to be a temporary tank for a little bit while we prepared for the 300 DD. The fish loss was espiecially tough on my wife and daughter. Her thoughts last night was she dosen't want to go thru all this again to swap out the 90 to the 300. But I'll give her some time. I'm sure we'll be back on plans after a little bit.

Off to do some rock scaping.... The journey continues.

ouch ,really sorry neoz. i like using portable aerators or air stone/pumps. the battery powered units are cheap insurance for when the power goes out, or for tubs. walmart will most likely dump them at the end of the fishing season

WOW. Talk about a change! Late last night when I looked in the tub I had a lot of floating fish. I was able to reach in and check each one. The CBB I picked right up as he was laying on his side at the top of the water. For whatever reason I put him in the 35 gallon of new water that was circulating with a heater and pump. I get up this morning and HE FREAKING MADE IT :bounce3:. We couldn't be happier. I didn't notice him breathing or anything last night. Maybe he was but we were too upset to notice. I know he never moved in my hand. And when I placed him in the 35 gallon he went right on his side. Unbelieveable.... I love it!!!!

Off to work more. Corals are in the tank and the water is about 3/4 full...
