Campbell's 120x36x30 In-Wall FOWLR

Thanks Austin! The Reef and the FOWLR are completely separate. I did this on purpose in order to eliminate the risk of getting disease in my big tank when I add new coral in. I am 100% sure that the reason many reefers have issues with icy and oter parasites is due to the fact that coral is not QT'd like fish and therefore when you add a simple def from another system into your tank it is like adding a fish straight as well. I know coral does not carry the parasites, but the water that is on the coral does.

What's all this talk about Chris and corals. I almost fell out of my sit :lolspin:. BTW looking good Chris!

This is exactly where the problem comes from in my opinion. Im going to set up another separate system for all new coral additions. No Fish and leave them in there for 8 weeks before they are added to teh new system. Once you start thinking about it, there are soooo many ways to re-introduce parasites back into a clean system. You have to be very careful...

I know the feeling Brian! I found myself confused and still to this day as I go look for coral I am constantly looking over my shoulder at more fish ;)

In fact...I have a "special" little guy coming on Friday from the west coast ;) weeeeeeee!

Yup...I have very carefully instructed everyone that comes in my house that feed my tanks that the reef is the last one fed and there is NO cross-contamination....I am pretty anal about that

Wow everytime I get a chance to come back to your thread you have done something major!!! Nice
No angels in a reef....come on I dare ya to try one:)

Equipment?

Not sure if I missed a page, but have you posted pics of your equipment room??? Very interested in seeing your setup. I am in the planning stages of building a house, and I will be having a 500g FOWLR angel tank and trying to gather as much info as I can before the walls go up.
Thanks
