I am really sick of doctors....

My husband ended up with blood clots in his leg after knee surgery the end of May. He ended up with a PE and was in the hospital for awhile. (He still has the clots and they say he may be on Coumadin for life.) When he first had the clots he was in absolute agony from them and couldn't walk. Supposedly the clots were pinching the nerves in the leg. It finally subsided but it took awhile.

I seem to remember you saying you were on Coumadin so it seems strange you'd end up with clots if they were monitoring the levels closely. My husband goes for blood work every Monday and they adjust his dosage accordingly.

use Maracyn, the plain, not two. It cured my fish issues. It smells awful, just pug your nose!

Hope they are treating you well and that you are getting plenty of good pain meds.

decidedly lacking on the good pain meds. Which takes all the fun out of being in the hospital.

I swear if it wasn't for bad luck I don't think I would have any at all this summer. The clots have been removed. I'm not sure how I got them when my INR was 5.2 (I'm not real sure how I got an INR of 5.2 either). Still kinda hard to walk but I can stand decently.

Damnit... this was the week I was finally going to get to put something in my tank.....

i had bloodclots after my spinal surgeries , it turned out i was allergic to heprin whitch in most peope thins thier blood . not me it caused clots . just a thought . hope you start felling better and the worst is behind you my friend . good luck.

Nice to see your up. Looks like someone needs to bring you a broadsword and a beer. Enough playing around with these sissy doctors and meds.
My friend this too shall pass. Hang in there tomorrow is another day. Plus you got a good woman by your side. It will get better and when it does you are going to have ONE BAD A$$ tank and woman.

thanks for the update. Glad your up and able to stand. I am working on saving some money to come out that way if at all possible to help get the tank where you would like it. I have a cousin in Seattle that is going to be the excuse

Well, I'm home

Finally.

Unfortunetly, when I went to talk to my boss, apperently they are thinking that I now have ended up in the hospital 3 times since my surgery that maybe I shouldn't go back until I'm cleared for full time work. That was SUPPOSED to be tommorow before this happened.

I'm starting to think this tank project is cursed. Everything started right after I ordered it. I'm half ttempted to give up, as stubern as I am this is getting way past stupid.

I do pretty much have my arms back, doc says it might be a month or more before my legs stop hurting and I'm not sure I can get released to work before that.

Just sp people know, I edited Tinks post (above) and replaced it with my own.

I think I will spend the afternoon cleaning the tank and doing a water change, then spend some money I don't have on some things to put in the tank. That should make me feel better.
