How not to build a 750/1500 gallon build thread-Khaosinc 3/5/71-8/30/11

I just found and read your hole thread. Wow what a ride so far. I loved the begining it was full speed ahead. Love your style. Please do take it slow and give your self the time you need to heal. I just had an infection in my foot and was down for a couple days. What a PITS that was. They think something got into a scratch i had. Funny a day after the scratch I cleaned my skimmer with sandals wonder if that had something that helped my infection.

Anyway I look forward to your build

I'm digging the Misfits shirt. I would'a thought they'd all worn away to dust by now. I hope you make a good recovery!

Just spent the last 2 days of work reading the thread at work. Even got the girl next to following along. That tank is gorgeous, love the rock work, Hope your feeling better. I work at a doctors off and almost got one of the other girls here to upchuck when i had the pick of your open chest up lol. Def subscribing and following. Best of luck.

Hi guys, Tink here again.
K is in the hospital AGAIN.
He went to get his picc line fixed yesterday morning and was told he was being admitted again.
We are getting a lot of mixed information but from what we can make of it, he has a fungal infection in his blood (similar to a yeast infection if that makes sense)...probably triggered by the antibiotics.
Their concern is for the mechanical valves in his heart. Yeast likes artificial surfaces and they are doing a transesophagul echocardiogram today to see if there is any "vegetation" growing on the valves.
If so, they'd like to cut him open again. K is pretty fed up and threatening to just walk out if that's the case. I'm curious if there'd be a way to treat him without opening him up. That'd be three times in two months. I'm not sure how much trauma his body can take!
So let's just hope the test comes out negative. If so, they will probably send him home soon for home health care and more treatment through his picc line. That would be the best scenario.

i fell off a building and broke my neck c-7 spinal injury . needlessto say i am in a wheelchair and was in hospital for 6 months. when i as in the hospital i got infections they had the center for disease controll down there evaluating me all the time working on me , i was running a fever . nothing was getting rid of the infection . finally they took me off the antibiotics fever gone . chapter 2 .............. i had a feeding tube in my stomach one of the idiot nurses tugged on it and i was bleeding out . they rush me to surgery i end up in the ICU where i get an infection again . so I am back on antibiotics weeks and weeks go by running a fever .The center for disease control same old story .They have me on one of the strongest antibiotics [vancomiacin] it is really hard on the viens so i need a new IV like every other other day . finally I cant take it .I tell my doctor no more .........take me off the antibiotics SHE IS ARGUING WITH ME , THIS IS SERIOUS YOU CAN DIE ......... THIS IS A REAL BAD INFECTION ........... I STAND MY GROUND BINGO FEVER GONE .............

I AM NOT SAYING THAT YOU SHOULD DO THE SAME. BEFORE I WOULD LET THEM OPEN HIM UP AGAIN I WOULD HAVE THEM TAKE HIM OFF THE ANTIBIOTICS AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS .BY THE WAY I AS IN SEATTLE WHEN I GOT HURT .

+1

Hey Tink
Sorry to hear about the set back
Fungal infections can be very scary, and tuff to treat,
But nothing K can’t beat and be home real soon

O wow tink. I'm so sorry. I just said a little prayer for you and K.

Apperently I can't catch one. I have bugs they can't even identify.

Either way I am leaving the hospital tommorow. Doc's not very happy and I don't really care. I see no reason I have to sit here 24 hours a day to be monitered when I come in to this dang place every day. So I'm going AMA....

screw them.

be on when I can.
