How not to build a 750/1500 gallon build thread-Khaosinc 3/5/71-8/30/11

I wish you were closer. My husband is just like you and you guys would be great pals in the world of tools and projects.

I found this thread this afternoon and read every line. It was like reading a great book that you can't put down.

I am so glad to hear that things are on the mend. I wish you a successful recovery this time without anymore glitches. Tink is a sweetie for keeping all your reef friends informed. My husband always says that you do more for your friends than you do for your own family. I think this thread and the donations sent in prove that. I will be following the progress of both you and the tank. Best wishes for the future.

Just gotta tell you, I love this thread. It gives a warm fuzzy to see you are ok. The people on the other side of the puter love you man.
"I've had lots of time to think and sketch while heavily medicated.... I have some crazy ideas that just might work"
FWIW--thoughts while heavily medicated may need to be re thought....watch this, hold my beer!

I've lived most my life in a style much like that.... might be half the reason I'm in the shape I'm in... but I think its more likley its why I'm still alive....

gotta live life on the hot seat...

Wow, what a thread! Congrats on Thread of the Month, K! Once you are fully recovered we fans all hope to see you get TOTM!

Just a thought - why not make the scar up like a moray eel?

Wishing you a speedy recovery.

How the H*** did I miss this thread? Kinda glad I found it now. Its like waiting until the sequel comes out before seeing the first movie. The suspense several pages back was intense. Glad to hear you are pulling through. Had a buddy of mine on a similar get up. Those high power antibiotics take their toll on your body.

Looking forward to seeing this thing through...

I've also been following this thread from the get go. I hope you continue on the road to recovery. You have a beautiful set up and looking forward to seeing it's progress.

If you ever have the choice... never get caught in an ego battle between doctors. They get so excited with rare conditions....
Been there done that. An infectious disease doctor insisted that what he was seeing on my husband trans-esophogeal ultrasound of his heart was vegitation (yes, that's what it's called  ) The cardiologist wasn't sure. Finally the cardiac surgeon confirmed that it was indeed his mitral valve flapping in the flow between chambers. All this within an hour's time. Open heart surgery the next morning to repair the valve and double bypass. The infectious disease doctor's name was Dr. Yoho. Arrrrrhhh me hearties!

Glad to hear you're feeling a bit better day by day. It's a long road, but you'll get there.

BTW...congrats on your publication. ;)

I stumbled onto this thread at 1:00 a.m. during an insomnia attack. Reading helps me sleep :D

So at 3:00 a.m. the board goes down for maintenance and the suspense of your recovery made me decide to stay up a little while longer to finish reading it.

Now it's 5:00 a.m. and I won't be going to sleep but it was well worth it.

I haven't stayed this focused on something in ages.

First thank for giving me something to read while my daughter watches blues clues-

What a huge tank upgrade and an even better story-I bet you had no idea when you named this thread. Keep up the healing and good spirits!

Tink-you are def. a keeper!!

Rock work arches are very cool & I love the new ferret and the pix of older friends too!

Good luck and keep the PBR cold as poss. and everything will work out fine.

Just found this thread today and read through the entire thing. Had tears in my eyes a couple of times--the warmth and generosity displayed by the people here is incredible.

Khaos and Tink -- you are both awesome and deserve all the happiness in the world.

Technical question (sorry if I missed this) -- does the foam require any cure time before it can be submerged?

Just found the thread and what a great combination of creativity, humor, drama, emotion and happy ending, all wrapped up in 1 thread. Most definitley the thread of the month, if not the year! Keep up the great work- both of you!
