Thats really cool. I looked on a map and thats right behind where Oak Beach is pretty much. Give us an update if you catch any this year.

I'm curious to know what you guys do with the fishes seined? Some of you go often, so I would assume you're loaded with fishes.

I personally have a 75 gallon tank thats all collected fish at the moment, a 55 gallon tank that i got specifically for collected fish (although theres very little i can put in that tank considering the most aggressive black grouper i have ever seen has taken over that tank), and a 12 gallon biocube which i house seahorses and as a nursery for raising juvenile (tiny) fish. So i still have plenty of space to in my tanks to fill up. Although i know that some people sell their fish, as well as some people even sell them to Local Fish Stores. Unfortunately, a number of collected fish end up dying (depending on the species) due to flukes, parasites, worms, and other factors. Although the ones that make it are great to have!

I was down in South Jersey fishing this weekend, and while standing on the beach fishing, i saw a school of little dime sized black fish swimming in front of me that i knew had to be tropicals. Determined to find out what species they were, i put down my rod, and tried catching one with my hands for 10 minutes, and finally succeeded to find they were permit. Awesome to see so many of them (probably a school of 5) togather. Hopefully i will be returning later in the year, this time with a friend, so i can do some seining also. Cant wait to get back down there to see what other species are in that water.

When we went to the Obi sun. Some one got a sea turtle.I hope they let it go but thats cool.

Yes Brian and I let the Green sea turtle go, here's Brian letting him go.

Moses is getting very! over fished, that's why you don't see much. I caught the same as everyone else (Let everything go) but someone did catch a Doctorfish(Tang).

Bill, I assume you are still down in Fla.? How's it going down there? What's the latest list of fish on your dive log?

-Walter

Hi Walter,

Yup, still in Florida. Job has been going very well. Can get real busy at times, but it's that good sort of busy. Been working with the dive classes on weekends, lots of fun and lots of fish. Last weekend we were diving out of Pompano, Large Green Moray, Spotted Snake Eel, Purple Mouth Moray, lots of parrot fish, jacks, snappers, glassy sweepers in the wreck, cardinal fish, squirrel fish, large schools of creole wrasse, french angels, queens, rock beauty...and the list goes on :D

We went out today again by the obi.
25 seahorse
2 goat fish
Lots of pipe fish
Lots of grouper
Lots of pin fish
Lots of spiny puffer
3 small permits
Still no good stuff. We will keep trying.

Thanks, but no thanks.
Too many projects...

Just wondering if you were breeding them, selling, setting up a huge or multiple tanks?
