How not to build a 750/1500 gallon build thread-Khaosinc 3/5/71-8/30/11

People need to stop dangleing really cheap tanks in front of me when I have money in my pocket....I have control issues...

and now theres and Eel in my sump... not quite sure how that happened, or how I'm getting him back out with 4-500 pounds of live rock in there

Nice eel, I wish I had the space to add some more tanks...

A local reefer was desperate to give it a home so he could break down the last of his tanks. I'm hoping to end up w/ an aggressive tank as well as a planted tank but for now he's lost in the several hundred pounds of rock in my sump. Need to play with eel proofing tonight.

yup, snowflake. About 18" or so. Theres a ton of snails, shrimp and a few crabs in my sump that like to clog pump lines so he should be busy for a while.

And rough math says when I have both these tanks running it should put me around 1600 gallons or so. Right about on target for the plan from the beginning

i have had my snowflake for 2 years now and he has never touched another critter in my tank. he only eats what i feed him. hes almost 24". jumped out of my sump a few weeks ago after moving him and i got lucky and found him still alive on the concrete.

My snowflake won't touch crabs or anything like that I have, though it does get a little nippy at some damsels and a mantis i have in there but no harm done yet. Hoping he takes out the damsels sometime soon.

1600 gallons, wow hope the foundations doesnt start settling lol. I take it that you are trying to get enough nitrate exports to get away from water changes. Man i wish i lived closer i would come check out that sweet setup... and do some weight lifting(12oz's at a time)

LOL, I've driven as far in the last week picking up tanks as it would take for you to come here I think..

I don't really do much in the way of water changes as it is. I only have like 20 fish in the 1000 gallons I have as it is.

DIdn't get much of anything done today, but I did get my new toy...

No more waiting a week to fill up a tank for me... 300 gpd
