Mixed 500 gal. A.G.E. build. 12 unit LED Radion lights.

Id watch doing it in that order...if rock does not go down first it will settle at some point (scratch glass, crush fish, etc)

We cleared the sand under the rock. All structures have rocks securely on the bottom pvc. Since there is ony 3 "islands" of rocks, it was easy to do.

If you want to see look at Andy's build. It is pretty impressive!!!!!

I had not seen some of the recent updates. It's coming along quickly since I looked at the thread a week ago...Now back to doing cuts for my stand!!!!

what size bulkheads are your durso's?

if its under 1", then when you build your durso's, you should upsize the pipe and fittings to the next size. (1.25") this allows better flow.

i think you can do this with 1.5" bulkheads as well, but defiantly 1" and under is a necessity)

if you get bored, plumbing pipe and such is cheap. (5-6$ with fittings)
if you want to give you a try. but if all is good, then no use is messing with a good thing, or fixing something thats not broke!

Looking great David. Working a wood shop would be an enjoyable trade. I'm a bit frustrated waiting on my one drill battery to recharge so I can continue on my stand build:(

When is the stand expected to be finished?

The only time you want to upsize the piping on a durso is if it is a 1" bulkhead or smaller. The larger sizes are fine like they are.
As for wood working, it's not so much the talent (while you still need some) it's all about the right tools baby!
