Mixed 500 gal. A.G.E. build. 12 unit LED Radion lights.

Really nice. Those Radions look fantastic on your tank. 12 wow! I have been looking at them myself and might build up to 6 but I think I will have to start out with fewer and use my old lights to start with.

thanks
Yes the radions look great!!!!!!! Theres nothing like them on the market.

Good call. Have any acros? That's the one sps I've hears can easily bleach when introduced to leds!

Personally, id still dial then back to 60%. The royal blues still put out a lot of light. Play it safe and don't be sorry about it later.

On mr. salwater tank he started at 100% intensity but dialed back the photoperiod to something like 4 hours a day. I would prefer the method you are taking and slowly raise it up over time....The software gives you such granular options, why not use them!?

After adding all my SPS I am going to bring down my Radions to 40% for now. In a week I will move up to 50%

Do you have a par meter? I would take the par readings of what the SPS are currently under then try to match or make slightly under with the Radions. Jmo :lolspin:

I honestly would rather have slow growing coral than everything bleached!

Also, regarding the PAR meter, from what I've researched PAR is not a good representation of the light you get out of LEDs. I'm not 100% sure why this has been stated over and over again but seems to be something I see often!

Agreed

This is my last home i am going to live in. Plus I would hat to move this tank again.
We have plenty of time.
Tank was our mortgage burning present.

Ok everyone is in tank. I still need to move things around. Corals are a little stressed.
All these in tank I have had for a while now. All were grown under 150’s plus actinic .
Over all everyone looks good.

Looks GREAT! This is why I need to start my grow out tank before putting DT in place. I'll have mainly frags starting out since I've not had any coral for 8-9 months:( I have a few mushrooms that were on live rock in fuge I recently setup;)
