David, I see that you are using the L version of the 100mm macro lens. Do you use the image stabilization in your shots or not? Wondering if I should invest into having the L version or not as it seems mixed on whether you need the image stabilization.

Lights have been running at 100% all colors for 3 hours a day for a couple of months now.
I bumped it up to 3 1/2 hours at 100% all colors today.
Artificial. Lights on at 6 am. At 9am they are set at 20k(100%). 11:30 to 3 100% with with all colors. 3:30 back to 20k (100%) lights off at 8:30

from 3-3:30 are the lights off what happens in that gap?

I use it because I have it. I didnt want to spend the extra money as Most all pics of the tank can be taken with a tri-pod.
But my wife likes to take pics of flowers so we got the L version.
The lens is so heavy without a tri-pod you would need the image stabilization

They slowly ramp down to 20k settings

As you add new corals to this tank and now that your lights have increased intensity have you burnt out any? How do you go about adding new sps to your tank now that your running at 100% the majority of the time(assuming you do anything special to begin with).

Fantastic growth by the way hope to have that in the near future!

I added a few i the last few weeks. I didn't acclimate them to the lights. So far no burning of corals.
Are you running 250 MH? If so do you do any thing when you add new corals?

The sps tank is lit by Radions so far ive only manage to burn one coral but it was most likely a little too close to the water surface. Now adays i just put corals in the mid range and judging on the coral looks after a few weeks ill raise or lower the it. I was just curious since it would appear your photo period is pretty intense but i dont think any 1 can argue that your corals are loving it so excellent work!

I have my Radions running at 100% for 6 hours with all colors. The SPS corals are loving it.....
Artificial mode. Lights on 6:00 A.M. At 8:00 A.M. set to 20k. At 10:00 to 4:00everything is 100%. At 5:00 P.M. 20k. 8:30 P.M. lights off.
