Mixed 500 gal. A.G.E. build. 12 unit LED Radion lights.

Aw man I was just about to make my first post to this thread to comment on how mature the tank looked in such a short amount of time. Sorry to see the tank came down after such good growth and results. But now the fun of rebuilding begins!

Tank came down this weekend. It looks like it will be down for 4 weeks.
I first put water, sand, and rocks in tank the 1st part of October 2011, I didn't get lights on till November 19th 2011.
Right after I turned on lights I noticed Air Bubbles in Fused Glass. There were a lot of them. But I spent so much time and money getting tank in house. Tank was already cycled and ready to start building my personal reef. So I ignored the number one rule in this hobby PATIENCE. I wanted my reef I thought I could live with the Air Bubbles in Fused Glass.
But every time I look at tank those bubbles were the 1st thing I saw.
I called Lou at Worldwide Corals (bought tank thru them). The very next day Acrylic Glass Exhibits (A.G.E) called me and apologized. They told me that if I wanted, they would come pick up my tank, replace the glass, and return the tank within 4 weeks.
I was floored. I have never received such great costumer service. "˜
Taking this beautiful reef down that I built was a big decision. I thought about it for a few days.
It's down I look at this as a adventure. All the corals fish are in a big 300 gallon Rubbermaid tub and sump and frag tank. Rock is in another tub.
Everyone is looking good.

I don't know what to say. I know that had to be a daunting task. So sorry about what you went through. I know you will be back and up and running. Patience is a virtue and nothing but good will come from this. Keep the positive attitude.

David:

I just read the news. I feel your pain! Words can not express how sorry I am.

I know that your new tank will come back better and stronger.

Hang in there!!!

Dan

Thanks everyone for your kind words. Everyone is still happy in the tub.

I have approximately 470 gallons of water running right now.
looks like tank will be down till August 1st.
I think I will do a 20% water change weekly instead of bi-weekly.

david can you give us some details on exactly what they will be doing to the tank? is this a repair or will they be building you a new one?

David, that's the nicest stock tank I've every seen. Can't believe AGE is going to take that long. Whether they are busy or not, they should be having a guy getting OT to fix a repair on such costly tanks. ~2 months is not an acceptable turnaround IMO. :(

Tank is expected to be completed in 4 weeks. A.G.E. has a job scheduled 3 hours from my house August 1st. They asked if that date was okay with me. The other option was create and ship. I choose to have the professionals bring tank.
