Mixed 500 gal. A.G.E. build. 12 unit LED Radion lights.

I found some nice rock. I got a 100lbs. But it's not cheap after shipping it was around $6.85 a pound. I'm think about getting another 100 pounds. What do you all think?

Definitely some unique rock and I like:D

What type of rock is that? I know you mentioned going bare bottom. Curious why and are you wanting to change up aquascaping?

The rock is nice, David. Where did you order it from?

EcoTech Radion Light Schedule

EcoTech Radion Light Schedule

Hey David!

Can you help me out with the lighting schedule/setup that you used for your Radions?

I am hoping that I have done everything correctly thus far.

For four of the units I have added them to the group I have established, labeled their positions and set the time that I want them to go on. I still have 8 more units to program. I have not plugged in any power cords yet, just the USB...

Did you use artificial or natural mode? What light intensity did you use or do you recommend at first? I am hoping to have them all hung by Thursday evening.

Thanks!

I used artificial. I started out at 20k with lights set at 50%. Then ramped them up 5 to 10% every week. They were at 100% with all colors for 6 hours. I think that was to much as i d id see some bleaching.. right now in my temp tank. I have the set at 100% for 3 hours.

If you read thru this thread you see that I’m running a 500 gallon tank 108x40x27 with 12 Radions over it. Tank is mixed SPS-LPS. late December my 500 tank had cycled and was ready for coral. Some coral were frags some were colony’s.
I started lights out at 45% and slowly ramped them up to 100% all colors for a total of 6 hours. The SPS corals grew like crazy. Most of my brown corals bleached with this much light. My pinks and reds were faded. Most of my LPS were suffering from too much light.
While my livestock was in garage (and is still in garage) I cut my light cycle way back. Royal blue and blue are 100% for 8 hours. I use the 20k setting at 90% for 3 hours.
It’s hard to see the growth it’s only been about 2 months.
But the color is amazing. All the SPS are really coloring back up with these settings. Reds are bright pink, blues are deep blue, pinks are pink. LPS are looking better.
I think with lights at 100% for 6 hours was just too much
My tank was built by A.G.E. Tank had a few visual defects in glass. A.G.E. has great customer service and stands behind their product. They came to my house and picked up my tank. All my live stock is in garage in Rubbermaid stock tanks one 300 gallon, one 100 gallon, and one 100 gallon for rocks. All is tied into sump.
I will try to get some pics up next weekend.

Sorry for your frustration. When I got my 360 the seams started to crack after a year. It was an acrylic tank. The tank maker replaced the tank, and I was able to make some slight modifications to the tank - different overflow, different height, different top. And ended up with a nicer 400... Plus I had a week with both tanks at the house to do the swap over.

Are there any adjustments you can have them do while they have the tank to make the tank better for you ?

Dave
