I knew this was going to be a good thread when I saw your Oregon Tort in the other thread...WOW you have an amazing tank! Simply stunning! TOTM fo sure!

thank you very much:)

There's some conversations happening on the Zeovit board about how the air-injected Beckett skimmer is more plankton-friendly than needle or meshwheels. Some people have sold their BubbleKings etc. and gone with a Beckett style and are seeing much better results with their coral colors and health. Another theory is that these water-chopping skimmers may cause the precipitation of necessary trace elements out of the water column. Nobody knows for sure and it's just anecdotal accounts, but still interesting I think.

tamarindthai, that is an awesome reef! them torts are ridiculous! :).

dailydriven, are there alot of reefers in the puyallup area? i visit family there every 2-3 years.

Yep there are quite a few of us in Puyallup and the south end. Very cool such a small world...Your like the 3rd person out of state to mention Puyallup in the last couple weeks...

Yep, it's definitely red bugs. Dang knows that he has them. For some reason they don't seem to negatively affect the color/health of his corals.

that pic, possible red bugs?
yes, they had been in my reef for 4years+,,never had problem what so ever,,i knew they love to hang around with tri color and smooth skin coral,,they never take the color away, never stop coral from growing and never kill my coral.i had couple pipe fish i the tank had been picking on them:rollface:
