In asking about table saw blades and routers I am guessing this is an acrylic tank. There are lots of videos from acrylic manufacturers on what types of blades and what methods to use on their plastics. Just query ... er ... YouTube... ;)

a second chamber is just a chamber to fill with fine calcium reactor media. you let your calcium reactor effluent line go into the bottom and it gradually reacts with the fine media raising the PH of the water before it goes back in the tank.

it will take a mid 6 ph water and raise it in the 7's.
and there is no extra energy or pumps or meters. its just a chamber.


as far as Kalk and calcium reactors. there are no negatives of running both.
but, when you dose Kalk"¦ the ph jumps (its not a gradual raise) so its just a little less stable.
also, people have had problems with there ATO running too long and stressing out corals from the jump in PH.

if your only running Kalk for the ph benefits, then i would try the second chamber. if your using it for the calcium/alk benefits, then keep using it.

Great update and pics. I used a regular table saw when I cut my pieces on the first sump I build. You just have to make precise cuts. And the router (depending on the bit you use) will clean up any inconsistencies from the cut acrylic.
 
Inconsistent drip on my calcium reactor. I'm using a maxi jet 900 to feed it. I've tried valve after reactor and before reactor. I just can't to keep a steady drip. Any suggestions?
 
My problem was that the co2 bubbled in and increased internal pressure which increased water drip rate. .

Ph meter turns off co2, and drip rate decreased because internal pressure drops. I open valve to let more water out, then ph meter opens, co2 bubbles come back on and internal pressure increases which turns water drips to a stream.

Try getting rid of electronic solinoid and just find the co2 bubble rate that gets u the right ph
