I don't think it will, but i will watch it closely
It will likely corrode if you have a dissimilar metal touching it anywhere, and much more quickly if its grounded. The most likely case is the screws that hold the lights to the aluminium plate (since the case of the lights is probably grounded -- but maybe not).
You can get around this my getting monrel screws (available from boat stores that service saltwater yachts), or you can coat the screw threads in silicon sealant before screwing them in the tapped holes.
On a sailboat I used own the previous owner had screwed into the mast with stainless steel screws and not bedded them properly, which lead to some fairly bad corosion. I don't know if this would be an issue above a tank, however, since its somewhat milder than a marina...
Loving the progress.
If 2 unlike metals (made of different material) touch, it causes corrosion. If silicone is used it usually goes between the 2 metals so they do not touch. If you have aluminum you should use aluminum screws.
Pics with the new corals?

Can't wait!
I have no luck growing softies despite of heavy heavy feeding and no water change.
What your secret of keeping softies with sps ?
Can't wait to see the fts with coral. What are you currently running the radion at?
